Having been binging pretty solidly for almost three weeks now, I tried hard not to binge or overeat today. I ate normally all day, and made a nice healthy stir-fry for dinner. Then my housemate gave me some pistachio ice-cream that she didn’t want. Naturally, I said yes, because I haven’t yet worked out how to say no to food.
The container was about half full — more than one serving. I ended up eating all but about two big spoonfuls. Sure, it was more than I needed, but, for some reason, leaving those two spoonfuls still felt important. Then I put the container away. And I was proud.
